B-Side! is a digital exhibition aimed to lift the curtains to a side of dress that tends to get ignored: the backside. The articulation of identity and embodiment of dress is explored through a short film as a reminder that Fashion is more than just an image.
B-Side! aims to mock the presentation of Fashion on digital media, frontal and flat, as a reminder that bodies and the world we live in are 3-dimensional. Dress as a “social and personal experience” should be regarded more than just an image but a somatic phenomenon that involves the lived body. Therefore, through the lens of the back view, it seeks to breathe life back into a side of bodies that are often neglected and almost foreign.
